Discover the craft behind a great espresso!
This practical and engaging course is designed for home baristas and aspiring café owners who want to deepen their understanding of espresso preparation. During the session, you will gain hands-on experience with espresso techniques and equipment, while exploring the nuances of different espresso styles.
Together we will work toward the elusive “ideal espresso” by learning how to taste, adjust, and calibrate espresso like a professional.
Training is conducted using high-quality prosumer machines, such as the Rancilio Silvia and the Sanremo YOU, giving you the skills and confidence to reproduce excellent espresso at home.
During the course we will cover:
Coffee beans – varieties, blends, and Italian vs Nordic roasting styles
Espresso tasting – how to recognize flavour balance and defects
Espresso calibration – grind size, dose, yield and extraction time
Milk foaming – texture and temperature for cappuccino and latte
Classic espresso drinks – preparation and recipes
Cleaning and maintenance – keeping your machine in perfect condition
