Cafetoria Named Roastery of the Year 2026 at the Helsinki Coffee Festival

Cafetoria Roastery has been named Roastery of the Year 2026 at the Helsinki Coffee Festival, one
of the most significant specialty coffee events in Northern Europe.
In addition to this top recognition, Cafetoria received multiple awards across both coffee and gelato
categories during the festival:
Coffee awards:
– Winner, Limited Edition of the Year (Filter)
– Winner, Decaf of the Year (Filter)
– 3rd Place, Espresso of the Year
Gelato awards (Gelatoria):
– Winner, Ice Cream of the Year
– 2nd Place, Gelato of the Year
The “Roastery of the Year” title is the highest distinction awarded at the festival. It is not given for a
single product, but for the overall quality, consistency, and philosophy behind a roastery’s work.
Founded in Finland in 2002, Cafetoria Roastery has been active in specialty coffee for over two
decades. The company is known for its flavour-driven approach to roasting, long-term relationships
with coffee producers, and its commitment to transparency and sustainability.
“Our work has never been about following trends,” says founder Ivan Oré. “It has always been
about understanding flavour, respecting the raw material, and continuously learning. This
recognition is meaningful to us because it reflects the entire journey behind the coffee.”
Alongside its roastery, Cafetoria operates Gelatoria, an artisan gelato concept that applies the same
principles of ingredient quality and clarity of flavour. The dual recognition in both coffee and gelato
