Banko Taratu
From the highlands of Gedeb, in Ethiopia’s renowned Yirgacheffe area, Banko Taratu is grown by smallholder farmers at an impressive 1,900–2,300 metres above sea level. The cool high-altitude climate and slow cherry maturation help develop the remarkable floral aromatics, lively acidity and delicate sweetness for which coffees from this part of Ethiopia are celebrated.
In the cup, expect fresh lemongrass, fragrant honeysuckle and juicy berries, supported by a clean, tea-like texture and a bright, refreshing finish. The high elevation brings clarity and a vibrant acidity, while the indigenous Ethiopian coffee varieties contribute to its floral and fruit-driven character.
A beautifully elegant Ethiopian coffee — delicate, vibrant and wonderfully aromatic, with every sip revealing a little more of its highland character.
