Uganda Binyiny Red Honey

Gooseberry, Green tea
This marks the debut of our COD series for the year. Over the past year, Uganda has captured our attention. We’ve been intrigued by the delicate nuances found in certain microlots, particularly those treated with natural and honey processes. This discovery came as a surprise, considering Uganda’s reputation had long been associated with robusta cultivation.

This arabica is grown around Bugisu and Kapchorwa on the slopes of Mount Elgonat at an altitude of aprox. 1900-2100 masl.  This coffee is hand-picked and then sorted by hand during and after drying. Many are organically grown, since most farmers don’t have the financial means to purchase chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
