The inspiration and creation of this blend goes a bit to the supernatural level. Reading old records about Italian style espresso and story, our founder and coffee roaster Ivan learnt that \u00a0there was an old style of roasting espresso which defers from the typical Italian espressos being roasted nowadays. A search for that coffee in his numerous trips to Italy were not very successful. The market and business model, built in Italy during the last decades, has prioritised consistency and low cost has automatically rule out the old style of roasting. The closest encounter he was with that type of coffee was a coffee present that \u00a0received from a former Nokia colleague. Though that \u00a0coffee present had a high percentage of robusta, it was enough for our Roaster to have a clear idea of what that style of coffee was it all about.<\/p>\n
Yet even that the picture of that Golden espresso was clear in our Roaster’s mind, it passed more than a decade when the decision to make the first attempt was made. On November of 2023 we finally decided to start the exploration. The mission was very clear: we wanted to have a 100% arabica, medium roasted, with fruity notes, creamy and good body and a playful but delicate aftertaste. Based on intuition and experience, our Roaster selected the beans from 4 different origins, calculated the proportion of each of them in the blend and made a \u00a0sample test. The result was so good that no more trials were needed. It was incredible that we could have found the coffee that we have been looking for in only 45 minutes! We call this a miracle because to release a product, it is usual to repeat several attempts and long periods of trials to play with different coffees and combinations.<\/p>\n
We call this blend Artigianale on memory of all those producers, coffees and roasters who each of them have contributed with they focus on attention and dedication to produce something outstanding, relevant and timeless which alltogether goes beyond a good cup of coffee, because it bring<\/p>\n
