This coffee grows in Northern Sumatra, west from Lake Toba. Sumatra Lington Tobak coffee is cultivated by people who belong to the indigenous tribe of Batak. Batak is a common name to the different ethnic groups living in the northern parts of Sumatra and each group has their own language and way of life. The name Lington comes from a city Lington Nahuta where villagers deliver their coffees.
Differing from the rest of Indonesian coffees, this coffee offers you a very clean mouthfeel with the taste of syrup-like sweetness and a hint of mandarin-like acidity and notes of dark chocolate and plums.
